Men's Head Coach Vance Wahlberg
 
Vance Walberg, who built winning programs at Clovis West High School and Fresno City College during the past 17 years, begins his first season at Pepperdine after being hired on April 18 to replace Paul Westphal. Walberg, 49, becomes the 12th head coach in the 68-year history of the program after spending the previous four years as head coach at Fresno City College where he compiled a 133-11 (.924) record, including a perfect 34-0 mark and the California State Championship in 2005.

    • Women's Head Coach Julie Rousseau
     
    This season marks the third for Pepperdine under head coach Julie Rousseau. The former head coach of the WNBA's LA Sparks has compiled an overall record of 26-34, including a 15-13 mark in conference play. In 2006, Julie Rousseau became the fastest Pepperdine women's basketball head coach to take the Waves to the NCAA Championship Tournament, accomplishing the feat in just her second season at the helm of the Waves' program. Her two-year .536 win percentage in West Coast Conference (WCC) play ranks third among active league head coaches, while her 15 conference victories ranks in a tie for 20th in WCC history.
